Budapest acoge a más de medio centenar de balnearios alimentados por manantiales medicinales naturales y pozos excavados en aguas termales. Algunos de estos balnearios tienen más de 400 años, conservando toda su herencia otomana; otros se construyeron a finales del siglo XX o inicios del XX, en estilos que van del secesionista al neo clásico. La mayoría son lugares populares, donde la población va no sólo a someterse a los diversos tratamientos, sino a relajarse y relacionarse socialmente.

Budapest, the spa of Europe
Budapest is home to more than fifty medicinal spa fed by natural springs and dug wells in hot springs. Some of these spas have over 400 years, retaining all its Ottoman heritage, others were built in the late twentieth century or early twentieth centuries, in styles ranging from classical to neo-secessionist. Most are popular places where people go not only to undergo various treatments, but to relax and interact socially.
